T9 Opens First Global Tea Pavilion Flagship Store in Hangzhou

T9 opened its first Global Tea Pavilion flagship in Hangzhou on November 2, 2026, featuring nine globally sourced teas, 100-plus retail varieties, and made-to-order beverages.

Premium tea brand T9 (T9) opened its first "Global Tea Pavilion" (全球茶会馆) flagship store on November 2, 2026, at Hangzhou Henglong Plaza, marking the brand's first dedicated brick-and-mortar retail and tasting destination of this format.

The store is built around nine globally sourced teas, including T9's own Magnolia Nectar Single Bud and Magnolia Nectar Spring Fur, a hand-rolled tea from Nepal's Moonlight Estate, and an Oriental Beauty tea selected from Taiwan tea gardens. The nine featured teas represent a curated distillation of more than 500 teas the brand says it has explored and recorded over the years.

The retail floor features a display wall presenting over 100 tea varieties alongside brand-exclusive tea ware. The space is laid out to serve multiple visiting modes — individual tastings, casual social gatherings, and business meetings — with a made-to-order beverage counter running alongside the retail offer.

The Hangzhou store positions T9 at the intersection of specialty tea retail and experiential hospitality, a format that allows a brand with deep sourcing credentials to convert product knowledge into a paid or browsable in-store experience rather than purely an e-commerce proposition.

The Global Tea Pavilion format reflects a broader dynamic in China's premium tea segment, where brands with credible sourcing stories are investing in physical spaces that let the narrative — provenance, seasonality, craft — do work that packaging alone cannot. Positioning a flagship to serve individual tastings and business meetings simultaneously suggests T9 is targeting both the gifting economy and the growing consumer appetite for single-origin, traceable tea products.
