One More Country Joins China’s Visa-Free List… Guess Which? 👀
On Sept 2, 2025, China announced that Russian citizens with ordinary passports can enter visa-free for up to 30 days, effective Sept 15, 2025 to Sept 14, 2026.
On Sept 2, 2025, China announced that Russian citizens with ordinary passports can enter visa-free for up to 30 days, effective Sept 15, 2025 to Sept 14, 2026. It’s a one-year trial policy that could be extended depending on how it goes.
This is just the latest step in China’s expanding visa-free rollout. France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain were the first in Europe to get visa-free entry starting Dec 1, 2023. Since then, more countries across Europe, Asia, and Latin America have joined the list. 🌍✈️
And visa-free travel isn’t just about passports. China also has the 144/240-hour transit visa-free policy, which lets travelers from dozens of countries explore certain cities if they’re just passing through, and the Hainan visa-free entry program, where visitors from 59 countries can enjoy the island without a visa for up to 30 days. 🏝️
These exemptions usually begin as one-year trials, giving travelers easier entry while China tests the waters. Now Russia is added too, with its own year-long trial.
So the big question: which country should be next to get visa-free travel to China? 👇
