LABUBU is still that girl — it just launched a fridge and sold out instantly

LABUBU is officially in its appliance era.

LABUBU is officially in its appliance era. Pop Mart just launched its first home appliance, the THE MONSTERS Living Home Series refrigerator, better known online as the LABUBU fridge. It went on sale at 10 PM on April 30 and sold out almost instantly across official channels.

The fridge comes in two versions, Home and House of the Monsters, with only 999 units released globally for each version. Each one costs 5,999 RMB, has a unique limited-edition number, and holds 121L — basically enough space for drinks, skincare, snacks, and your emotional support collectible lifestyle.

The design features LABUBU and TYCOCO artwork, a retro-style body, layered printing to recreate artist Kasing Lung’s original brushwork, and a 3D LABUBU handle. It’s less “buying a fridge” and more “buying a giant functional figurine that happens to keep soda cold.” 🧊

Before launch, JD reservations reportedly passed 100,000 in the final minutes. After launch, resale platforms went wild, with common listings around 6,999–9,999 RMB and some sellers asking over 60,000 RMB. But the hype cooled fast: by May 1, resale prices had already dropped closer to 6,000–8,000 RMB.

Pop Mart isn’t stopping here either. The company is also planning more IP-powered small appliances like kettles, coffee machines, grinders, and breakfast makers. At this point, LABUBU isn’t just decorating your shelf — it’s moving into your kitchen. Tiny monster, big rent. 😭
