Haidilao and Valorant Team Up on Nationwide Hot Pot and Gaming Collaboration

Haidilao is running a nationwide collaboration with Valorant across 1,250+ stores, offering gaming peripherals, in-game rewards, and 1v1 duel zones for waiting diners.

Haidilao (海底捞), the Chinese hot pot chain, has launched a cross-brand collaboration with Valorant (无畏契约), the mobile and PC shooter from Riot Games, themed "Wa Wan Qu Chi Haidilao" (瓦完去吃海底捞, meaning "Let's go eat Haidilao after Valorant"). The campaign spans more than 1,250 Haidilao stores nationwide.

Diners can choose from several meal packages tied to in-game and physical rewards. Dual-person meals come with square keychains, laser tickets, and lenticular cards. Four-person meals include pineapple phone stands and random triangle keychains. Five-person meals feature adjustable three-level lighting display boxes. Student dual-person meals offer championship-themed acrylic and paper ticket stubs. All packages include CDK codes redeemable for self-selected PC or mobile game items. The Haidilao mini-program also opened a lottery channel offering 600 championship gun skin sets.

Three branded theme stores in Shanghai and Shenzhen are hosting "Day Manager" activities featuring cosplayers in interactive Q&A sessions and noodle-pulling challenges. These locations also house Valorant-themed answer machines and sticker card makers. Across more than 150 theme and atmosphere stores nationwide, waiting areas have been converted into "Duel Spaces" where customers can log into the mobile game for 1v1 or bull matches; winners are eligible to receive half portions of premium beef. During meals, tapping an NFC-enabled in-store device with a phone unlocks a six-hour in-game privilege package, including three current-month gun skins and five limited-time agent trials.

The collaboration launches on September 28, 2026, making it one of the more structurally integrated food-and-gaming tie-ups to reach this scale in China. The pairing of a dining chain with a competitive gaming title — extending from physical merchandise through in-store interactive zones to live NFC-triggered in-game rewards — reflects the ongoing convergence of gaming culture and offline dining occasions in the Chinese consumer market. The campaign follows Balenciaga and Valorant's pop-up concept internet café in Shanghai during the 2026 Champions Global Finals, suggesting Valorant is actively cultivating cross-category brand partnerships around its competitive calendar.
