A popular Chinese milk tea chain, Auntea Jenny (Hu Shang Ayi), has found itself in hot water after launching a new “womb wellness” campaign — complete with plush uterus toys. 🧋🩷

The campaign introduced “Little Gongju” dolls — a pun on the Chinese words for uterus and princess. Each plushie, in pink or red, represents a different phase of the menstrual cycle and was released alongside drinks promoted as helping to “warm the uterus,” following traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) principles.

While some applauded the idea as a bold move to normalize female health topics, others criticized it as disrespectful to women — arguing that a commercial brand shouldn’t use the female body for gimmicky marketing. 😬

Auntea Jenny has previously launched wellness drinks and organ-shaped plushies — like kidneys and stomachs — without controversy. But this time, the womb-shaped merch hit a cultural nerve and ignited debate across Chinese social media.

So what’s your opinion? 💁‍♀️🧋
