Legendary Chinese herbal tea Wanglaoji — the brand many of us grew up grabbing at corner stores — just took a turn into the ultra-luxury world that even fashion houses might envy. 🧊💎

Instead of cans you toss in a cooler, Wanglaoji’s parent company has unveiled a limited “Diamond Wanglaoji” collectible set priced at a whopping ¥18.28 million yuan (~US$2.6M).

Partnering with jeweler iMOKJT, the set features five 1:1 scale “cans” made from 18K gold and embellished with over 18,000 natural gemstones — including rubies and yellow diamonds — totaling more than 7 kilograms of precious stones.

There are only three sets worldwide, and buyers reportedly get a presidential delivery in a Rolls-Royce — no joke.

For folks reading from outside China, Wanglaoji is also increasingly presenting itself internationally under the English brand identity WALOVI — a name it’s pushing in markets like Europe, Southeast Asia and the U.S. — but the classic Wanglaoji name still rocks headlines here at home and in this story.

So is anyone actually drinking this diamond set? Probably not — it’s more collectible art than a refreshment. Still, it’s wild to see a humble herbal tea brand reach this level of bling. 🍾🤷‍♂️
