Recently in Guangzhou, a clothing store accidentally turned visual creativity into a full-on emergency πŸš’πŸ”₯ β€” and yes, firefighters were involved.

Passersby noticed what looked like bright flames flickering inside a second-floor window along Guangfu South Road in the Liwan area. The fire visuals were steady, intense, and honestly way too realistic. People did what they were supposed to do in a potential emergency and immediately called 119 πŸ“žπŸ˜¨

Within minutes, five fire trucks arrived on site, lights flashing, ready for action. But once firefighters got closer, something felt off πŸ‘€β“ There was no smoke, no heat, no burning smell β€” just perfectly looping flames. That’s when they realized the β€œfire” was actually a high-resolution LED screen playing a flame animation on repeat.

The situation was quickly declared a false alarm. Local officials later ordered the store to remove the LED display and make corrections, pointing out that while the idea was eye-catching and creative ✨, it also caused unnecessary panic and used up real emergency resources.

The irony? When the store first opened last year, the owner proudly shared the LED flame idea on Rednote. Someone jokingly commented that people would keep calling the firefighters β€” and the owner replied with a casual β€œHaha.”

Well… turns out the internet was right 😭πŸ”₯

What do you think β€” should stores be allowed to use ultra-realistic LED screens like this, or is it simply too misleading? πŸ‘€πŸ€”
