This Chinese pesticide company went viral for looking exactly like Resident Evil's Umbrella

China’s internet has a new “wait what?” company, and no, it’s not from the gaming industry. SixF Crop Protection, a Henan-based agricultural company founded in 2009, is suddenly going viral this April because people noticed its green-and-white umbrella-style logo looks wildly similar to the Umbrella Corporation symbol from Resident Evil ☂️ And the more people looked at it, the worse — or better — it got. Online, people are calling it China’s real-life Umbrella Corporation, joking that the “Henan branch is confirmed,” asking whether the factory has a huge underground compound, and wondering if the logo was designed on Taobao for 200 RMB. Other top comments include, “The boss isn’t named Wesker, right?” and “I guess your products must be very infectious.”
Which is especially funny because the real company is about as un-zombie as it gets. According to its official info, SixF is headquartered in Zhengzhou, has 500+ employees, runs a production base in Mengzhou, and focuses on insecticides, fungicides, seed treatments, and plant-protection services for agriculture 🌾 It was previously known as Henan Dexiyang Biotechnology before officially adopting the SixF name in 2016, and has since grown into a certified high-tech agro company with multiple industry honors. Even better timing: on March 16, it had just held a launch event in Shanghai for its new insecticide product Weimeng, aimed at resistant pests in agriculture 🧪 So while the internet is busy making biohazard jokes, the company is just out here doing pest control with the most Resident Evil-coded branding imaginable.
