Louis Vuitton ran a limited-time Book Workshop on Shanghai's Yuyuan Road, offering photobook binding, screen printing, and curated reading until October 11, 2026.
Louis Vuitton opened a limited-time "Book Workshop" (图书工坊) space at Yuyuan Department Store, 1018 Yuyuan Road, Shanghai, running until October 11, 2026. The installation's exterior used books as decorative visual elements, signalling the literary theme before visitors stepped inside.
The interior featured a curated display of Louis Vuitton's published works — including its City Guides series, which has been published since 1998, and The Fashion Eye — selected in collaboration with three independent Shanghai bookstores: Baixin Bookstore (百新书局), Qundao Bookstore (群岛书店), and Zhiyueliang Bookstore (纸月亮书店).
Visitors could take part in several hands-on activities. In the "Photobook Workshop," participants chose images across different themes and had them bound into a personalised photobook on the spot. A screen-printing station allowed guests to transfer archival brand imagery onto cards. A reading area with a coffee space offered a slower experience, and visitors could collect a complimentary special-edition Reading Journal produced in partnership with Weekend Magazine (周末画报).
Brand ambassador Gong Jun, brand friend Lin Yi, and actress Zhou Yiran attended and took part in the interactive activities during the event.
