Heytea just unveiled the third iteration of its iconic Shanghai Disney store, and this time they're going full kaleidoscope mode 🌈

The popular tea chain reopened its Disney Town location on June 5th with a completely reimagined "kaleidoscope" theme β€” the latest chapter in what's become an 8-year design evolution story. This isn't just any random store refresh; it's part of Heytea's "Day Dreamer Project" and marks the third major redesign since the store first opened in Disney Town back in 2018.

The design journey has been quite the ride. It started with a "Love is Magic" pop art theme in 2018 that leaned into fairy tale vibes. Then in 2022, they went conceptual with a "parallel universe" design exploring dreams vs. reality. Now in 2024, they're literally seeing the world through a kaleidoscope lens.

The new space is pretty immersive β€” there's an interactive kaleidoscope installation right at the entrance, plus a dynamic digital kaleidoscope centerpiece that creates this seamless transition between reality and fantasy. Hand-drawn comic-style curves flow throughout the space, connecting the ordering, dining, and chill-out areas. They've kept the classic pink and white color scheme but added warm wooden accents and a smart lighting system that creates shifting patterns across the ceiling, basically turning the entire store into a living kaleidoscope.

To celebrate the reopening, Heytea dropped two exclusive drinks you can only get at this location: "Double Happy Rich Chocolate" (made with 98% high-concentration cocoa and pistachio cloud foam) and "Double Happy Rich Chocolate Egg Tart" (featuring Valrhona cocoa and pistachio flowing center). They've also brought in their bakery lab concept with multiple egg tart options.

What's fascinating is how this store has essentially become a design laboratory for Heytea β€” constantly evolving while staying true to Disney's magical spirit. After 8 years and three major makeovers, it's evolved from just another tea shop into what they're calling a "landmark consumer destination" in Disney Town ✨
