GAP and A.P.C. Launch Collaborative Collection and Short Film Blending American and Parisian Style

GAP and A.P.C. released a joint denim-focused collection on October 9, 2026, alongside a short film set in Montmartre starring rapper ian and DJ Paloma Le Friant.

GAP and A.P.C. (A.P.C.) released a joint collection on October 9, 2026, combining American casual wear with Parisian minimalist design. The range reworks wardrobe basics with denim at its core, using vintage wash techniques and Japanese denim fabric.

To accompany the collection, the two brands released an advertisement film titled "The Long Way." The film stars American rapper ian and French DJ Paloma Le Friant. Its narrative follows ian as an American visitor in Paris who misses a bus and stumbles into an unplanned journey through Montmartre. The two protagonists — from different cultural backgrounds — cross paths along the way, a storyline the brands describe as mirroring the dialogue between American style and Parisian design sensibility. The film draws its visual and narrative references from French New Wave cinema.

The collaboration positions GAP's heritage of accessible American basics against A.P.C.'s restrained, Left Bank aesthetic, using craft details — notably the Japanese denim fabric and vintage wash finishes — to bridge the two identities. The casting of a rapper and a DJ, rather than conventional fashion talent, leans into a cross-cultural youth appeal consistent with both brands' positioning.
