Eileen Gu Brings a Fan-Gifted Labubu to the Olympics — And It Steals the Show

During the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Eileen Gu proved once again that she’s built different.

During the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Eileen Gu proved once again that she’s built different.

Before competing in women’s freestyle skiing slopestyle (Feb 7–9), she reportedly walked about 1.5 km downhill each day from the Olympic Village to the venue — casually, like it was just another commute 🚶‍♀️❄️. But what really caught fans’ eyes? The backpack.

Hanging from it was a fan-gifted Labubu charm — including a “ski edition” version and a tiny frog accessory. One of the Labubu dolls was even a hidden edition from the “Benwo” series, dressed in a custom LV-style outfit. Cute but make it fashion.

Netizens joked: “She’s going to work with Labubu.”

On the slopes, Gu won silver by just 0.38 points — but said she landed the best slopestyle tricks of her life and felt proud. Off the slopes, her self-designed competition outfit, signature ring, and toy-covered backpack showed the same thing: elite athlete, but still fully herself.

Olympic pressure? Sure.

Walking to work with Labubu? Also yes. 🐸✨
