Diesel's FW2026 Campaign Sends Life-Size Cardboard Models to Five Cities for Street-Level Portraits

Diesel's FW2026 "Multiplicities" campaign plants life-size cardboard model standees in real streets across Shanghai, London, Cairo, New Delhi, and Rio.
Diesel has released its autumn/winter 2026 advertising campaign, titled "Multiplicities," developed under creative director Glenn Martens and art director Christopher Simmonds. The campaign's production method is its defining feature: models and garments were first photographed in a studio, and life-size cardboard standees of those images were then physically transported to five cities — Shanghai, London, Cairo, New Delhi, and Rio de Janeiro — where they were placed in real street environments and rephotographed to produce the final campaign imagery.
Each city showcases a distinct selection of pieces from the FW2026 collection. Shanghai features high-gloss two-tone leather and 3-D denim; London shows the D-ONE bag and D-COCCO stiletto sandals; Cairo highlights pleated knitwear and crinkled denim; New Delhi carries trompe-l'œil cable-knit denim and open-work floral knitwear; and Rio de Janeiro presents concert-print T-shirts alongside the Stinger wristwatch.
The campaign is rooted in physical, location-based execution with no digital or broadcast channels listed as part of the production process — the street settings serve as both backdrop and creative medium. The five cities span four continents, positioning "Multiplicities" as a statement of geographic breadth as much as a product showcase.
