China’s latest viral restaurant star isn’t a Michelin chef — it’s a Jinan uncle named Liming, famous online for his unapologetically tacky, gold-obsessed lifestyle ✨😂

He first blew up for his signature look: chunky gold chains, shiny suits, and a whole “I walked out of a 90s gangster movie” energy. Even his Toyota is painted gold with an equally chaotic interior — a direct rebellion against today’s minimalism trend. So when he opened a lamian shop on Guanyi Street, of course he went all in.

The restaurant is a full golden palace: loud yellow walls, bold gold decor, and a giant portrait of himself supervising your noodles. Netizens even joked he looks like a “Golden Saint” from the anime Saint Seiya — because the whole place feels like a zodiac battle arena made of bling 💫🍜

The food, though, is surprisingly solid. He serves Tianjin-style yellow broth lamian, made with a beef-bone curry base and hand-pulled noodles. There’s a 30 RMB two-bowl combo and a 50 RMB premium option — simple, hearty, and wallet-friendly.

When the shop first opened, it was called “Huang Tang Lamian” (Yellow Broth Lamian), then briefly changed to “Jin Tang Lamian” (Golden Broth Lamian), but now it’s back to “Huang Tang Lamian”. If you see both names in videos and photos, that’s why!

Since trial opening, videos of the space spread everywhere. Now it’s officially Jinan’s newest must-visit spot 💁‍♀️🔥
